Latest Manitoba PNP draw issues 615 Invitations this August!
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has recently conducted a new invitation round within its Expression of Interest (EOI) system as part of the August PNP draw.
In the latest draw held on August 10, 2023, the Manitoba PNP issued a total of 615 Letters of Advice across all three MPNP streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker Overseas Stream. To be eligible for this invitation round, applicants required minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 605 to 708.
This Expression of Interest Draw, labeled as #189, involved the following streams and criteria:
Skilled Worker in Manitoba: Occupation-specific selection
Profiles indicating current employment within Manitoba, particularly in occupations with high labor demands, were taken into consideration.
- Number of Letters of Advice (LAAs) issued: 249
- The candidate with the lowest ranking who received an invitation had a score of 605.
- Occupations under National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 major groups 94 and 95 were considered, encompassing machine operators, assemblers, inspectors, and laborers in processing, manufacturing, and utilities.
- All other occupations were also included for consideration.
Skilled Worker Overseas: Direct Invitation under Strategic Recruitment Initiative
This category comprised profiles that received direct invitations from the MPNP through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
- Number of LAAs issued: 40
- The candidate with the least ranking score who was extended an invitation had a score of 708.
International Education Stream: Meeting Eligibility Requirements
Profiles meeting the eligibility requirements of the International Education Stream were invited under this category.
- Number of LAAs issued: 47
Among the total of 615 Letters of Advice to Apply issued in this draw, 43 were extended to candidates who provided valid Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes.
The Skilled Worker route, encompassing both “Skilled Worker Overseas” and “Skilled Workers in Manitoba” streams, is tailored to the needs of Manitoba employers and selects internationally trained workers with skills required in the local labor market, nominating them for Canadian PR visas to live and work in the province.
The International Education Stream (IES) provides an expedited nomination pathway for international students graduating from designated Manitoba post-secondary institutions.
This includes the Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP). The Manitoba PNP consistently invites high-scoring candidates from the pool to submit full applications. These MPNP draws typically occur bi-weekly, with occasional exceptions. The frequency, size, and dates of upcoming draws are determined by the inventory of MPNP applications.
